Aron Johannsson scores goal, gets injured

Aron Johannsson has had a tough go of things in his career. First, sbobet168 the Alabaman-Icelandic striker chose to represent the U.S. over Iceland only to get just 67 minutes in the 2014 World Cup. That was despite Jozy Altidore going down with an injury in the first match. It turned out that he was dealing with an injury during the tournament that was kept out of the media at the time. Things haven’t gotten much better. Since moving from AZ Alkmaar to Werder Bremen in 2015, the American striker has made only 7 starts.

Although the U.S. won’t be going to the World Cup, perhaps ArJo could turn things around for his club. It looked like he was getting back to scoring goals with this elegant chip against Bayer Leverkusen in a DFB Cup game today:

Sadly, Bremen would lose the game 4-2. Worse still, the oft injured Johannsson sbobet168 came off at the half with an injury.

The run of bad luck was a microcosm of Johannsson’s career. A brilliant goal that shows off his obvious talent, skill, and promise - only to be followed by a disappointing injury.

Hopefully it isn’t serious and the striker will be back with his club to finish sbobet168 the season strong.
