It was a rainy, cruddy night in Osnabrück as Bayern maxbet Munich narrowly progressed to the next round of the DFB-Pokal with a 2-1 win over SV Rodinghausen at the Stadion an der Bremer Brücke. It was, by no means, a pretty performance from Bayern, but the ugliest moment arrived when Thiago pulled up with an ankle injury around the 73-minute mark.

The injury occurred when Rodinghausen’s Björn Schlottke came in late on Thiago after he’d clearly beaten Schlottke to a 50/50 ball right by the sidelines. Schlottke’s extended maxbet foot seemed to go down right on the inside of Thiago’s ankle just as he was going to take another step, causing it to bend awkwardly. The Spaniard looked to be in a considerable amount of discomfort and stayed on the ground. He was finally replaced by Serge Gnabry in the 75th minute, and Schlottke received a yellow card for the rash challenge.

Thiago maxbet was also reported to have left the stadium in crunches. Although it might be merely a precaution, it is still not a sight that Bayern want to see right now with all of the injuries to the squad already. As Hasan Salihamidzic told Kicker, the injury is “Very bitter. He’s a really important player.”
